Upcoming Changes to Digital Recorded Exam Submissions

LCME moving to single-take recordings for Digital Exams from 1 March 2025

London College of Music Examinations (LCME) is announcing an important change to our Digital Recorded exam format. From 1 March 2025, all Digital Recorded exams must be filmed in one single continuous performance without any cuts, edits, or modifications. This includes all pieces or songs, discussions, and any technical work.

This update aligns with our other exam formats, mirroring live exam conditions, and a single-take format better prepares candidates for real-world performance scenarios, building the confidence and stamina essential for live performances and auditions. In addition, it will streamline the submission process, as you only need to upload one file.

We understand this represents a shift from our previous policy. Rest assured, LCME is committed to supporting all candidates, teachers, parents and reps through this transition by providing updated guidelines, resources, and assistance to ensure you feel prepared and confident with the new format.

Candidates can already start submitting exams filmed in one single continuous performance or continue submitting multiple files during this transition period. From the 1 March 2025 it will be compulsory to submit exams as one single-take only.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we implement this change. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact our support team.

Stay tuned for more detailed guidance and resources to help you prepare for this new format. Together, we'll ensure your LCME journey continues to be rewarding and empowering.
